Abdi Celebi, whose real name was Abdullah bin Abdurrahman, made this mosque built by Mimar Sinan in 1533-1534.

The Abdi Çelebi Mosque is located in Koca Mustafa Pasha district.Renovated by Mahmut Ağa in 1756, remained neglected in the last century of the Ottoman Empire, renovated after the Armenian incidents in 1896, Mimar Sinan style disappeared greatly because he saw repairs after the Balkan Wars and World War I.

For this reason, today, it can not be said that it displays a harmonious image.
