Kazım Karakaya was born in Ankara in 1971. He graduated from the Sculpture Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Hacettepe University in 1998. Between 1993 and 2003, he worked with sculptor Mehmet Aksoy. Since 1997, Karakaya has participated in numerous group sculpture exhibitions and symposiums in Turkey and abroad.
