Les Musiciens Du Louvre: Anne Sofie Von Otter In Istanbul
A star is passing! Internationally acclaimed Swedish mezzo-soprano Anne Sofie von Otter has long been considered one of the finest singers of her generation and rarely seen artists of today with her breathtaking voice and versatility. She has made a distinguished name for herself with her recordings winning numerous awards including an International Record Critics’ Award, a Grammy Award and a Diapason d’Or and collaborations with pop legend Elvis Costello and renowned jazz pianist Brad Mehldau.

Founded in 1982, Les Musiciens du Louvre breathe new life into the repertoires of the Baroque, Classical and Romantic eras, performed on period instruments.

Over the past thirty years, the Orchestra drew attention with its reinterpretations of the works of Handel, Purcell and Rameau, but also Haydn and Mozart’s and more recently Bach and Schubert’s.

The orchestra will be led by Thibault Noally, who regularly performs with renowned singers such as Cecilia Bartoli, Philippe Jaroussky, Jennifer Larmore.
